You can retain nearly every factory input (factory mic is the only thing that wont work with aftermarket radios). I used the Axxess ASWC-1 for steering wheel controls, and it works perfectly.

I found a few but none that I have found list compatibility with my ZJ (98 limited). From what I understand the control box will jack into the steering wheel control harness, then you simply program the box with your aftermarket head unit’s remote control.
