Just don’t go much farther than an inch down in the front. Also, unless you have or are planning on running clip ons, I don’t advise you lower the front.

A friend has an 06 she says is lowered 2″ and I’m on all my toes on that. All that to say, riding it stock isn’t gonna happen so, forget talking me out of it.

As it starts to tip to one side, slide your butt over to that side, and put one foot down. Pick the spot that will minimize reach, meaning close to the bike, like just in front of the rearset. Lean the bike back up, and repeat. I’d recommend starting with just moving side to side, without balancing the bike.
