yes is fixed, but people forget that AI will NEVER be smart as the player……. Rome 2 is the only time I’ve seen TW ai move an army around a map then finally remain static for an hour. Yes, the AI is reasonably challenged depending on the which patch.

They’ve fixed some of the major technical issues, although not all. In terms of gameplay it is still very shallow, provides little challenge and as people have said some of the AI is laughably bad.

I know. I have seen many battles with different battle speeds. Some are very fast that I cant even count from 1 to 10 and some battles are been very long like 20vs20 in siege or 40vs40 that might take 10-30min. Last night, I had 2 full stack romans vs 2 full stacks against carthage armies and some navies and it really easily took over 20min. 😎

Rome II was a dumpster fire on release. It has recieved literally five years of updates and has greatly improved. March 2018. CA did slow down the battle a lot in WH2 and with every patch (Units tends to be updated toward higher defense rather than offense). Just like with Rome 2 though, it took a while for the balance team to find a good spot for battle pace, and hopefully they keep nudging it toward shorter battles.
