According to some, Kronos (Cronus), the former king of the Golden Age, was released by Zeus from Tartaros (Tartarus) and made king of the islands of the Blessed, where the heroes were sent to dwell in paradise after death.
When he grew up Zeus revolted against Cronus and the other Titans, defeated them, and banished them to Tartarus in the underworld. Cronus wasn’t killed.
