Lieserl Einstein (born January, 1902 – last mentioned in 1903; Date of death is 18th of September 1903) was the first child of Mileva Marić and Albert Einstein.
He started a lengthy affair with his cousin and her teenage daughter. He told her that he would only agree to remain married if she acted as his servant, tolerated his affairs, and told no one about her contributions to his career. He made her beg for money. He had her children taken away from her when she got depressed during their divorce.
Einstein separated from Mileva in 1914 and their divorce was final on 14 February 1919. Elsa married him three and a half months later, on 2 June 1919. Elsa’s and Albert’s mothers were sisters, which made Elsa and Albert maternal first cousins, and their fathers were first cousins.
